For those who haven't stumbled across this yet, Figure Painter Magazine (http://www.figurepaintermagazine.co.uk/) is a pdf download, now in it's 23rd issue, which dealswith the topic of painting, sculpting, and detailing figures and diorama bases. It tends toward a military/fantasy theme, but the techniques are great, with many tutorials. I have already learned a lot. The cost is less than $2 an issue.

Of course, I have no connection to them other than as a very satisfied customer.
