What to do with a Stainz-chassis when building a Mexican style layout?
I found a picture from Cuba, where a 2-4-0 steamer was changed to a diesel loco. That's the way!
So I picked some pieces out of my scrap box, and this is the result...

I still have to make the paint job.

Yes I have seen motorized Shays in photos as well.  Very reasonable idea.

Hallo John,

I heard about this, but never seen photos or so. Here in Germany it is quite difficult to get such special informations. So, do you still know where you have seen it?
