Post by: 1-32 on November 11, 2019, 03:39:55 AM
I have just made A comment on Russes post-Is Everybody Safe?
Here on the East Coast of Ozz at the start of summer and everybody is freaked out Huge fires with there own weather systems are coming.Hopefully, they won't be as bad as the predictions but it is going to be really bad, already at 9 pm the wind is howling and the smell of smoke is coming with the winds.

Kim, wherever fires burn, they have a mighty power and only the violence of water is even greater and can conquer the fire. Only if you like us have already got 3 X flooded the house by heavy rain you wonder what is worse.

Kim, don't take any chances. If you live in an area where there's even a slight chance fire could reach your neighborhood, pack your stuff into a car and be ready to evacuate. Ask me how I know. -- Russ

Sounds like you need to get a couple of hundred goats and go into the brush control business.  Goats not only turn brush into milk and more goats but they can be fun to watch.

Heard from someone in Coffs Harbour, can't get out, roads blocked. It looks bad all the way up from Sydney to Casino.

Does anyone know whether Kim and his neighborhood are safe? -- Russ

Kim posted two days ago on Facebook and made no mention of the fires, so I assume he is safe ...

I have contact with Kim, he lives in Sydney very no on the coast, also practically directly by the sea and thinks himself that he does not live in a danger zone. Only the smoke can still be smelled there.
