    Brief description:
Two Bachman Tipper Cars Glued Together
    [e-mail] [Website]

    Details:

While staring at a pile of Bachman 4-wheel side dump cars that I had it occured to me that it wouldn't be too hard to glue two of them together. I model in 7/8" scale so I used a pair of modified Jeff Saxton's 7/8" gilpin Trucks, cut the end of one end of each car, and split the dump body in three pieces length wise to add two 1/2" spacers. I used a prototype standard gauge car at the SC Railroad Museum as a guide. so far, I have built two of these, widened on inch in 7/8n24 and one in the original width in 7/8n18. A simple and fun project.
